Guillermo and Anna Jiménez

Many of you know that Anna has been working for Servant Partners in Honduras for several years now.  When we got married in 2008, Anna moved out of the slum she was living in.  Guillermo began working for World Vision after finishing his MA in International Development at Eastern University and Anna continued working for Servant Partners in various support roles and also with an orphan related project connected to a local non-profit.  Through our local church, we began working with youth from the Los Pinos slum community.  About a year ago we became aware of several dynamics: we always wished we had more time to invest in the Los Pinos youth and community, Guillermo was looking for a different type of job that would have him working more with people and in areas he was passionate about, and we also sensed that God was calling us to a time of discerning as a family for "what was next". Earlier last fall, Guillermo made the decision to leave his job at World Vision and work full time with Servant Partners.  In March of 2011, Guillermo and Anna moved into the Los Pinos community.  Their son, Guillermo David, was born in January.

Guillermo is from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He double majored in Philosophy and Business Management at Houghton College NY.  He worked for The River Church Community in San Jose, Calfiornia as the International Compassion Experience Coordinator.  During his time in San Jose, CA he lived in an intentional community with other members of the church in an inner-city neighborhood.  He continued his studies at Eastern University where he obtained a Master´s in International Development.  He is an alum and board member of Comunidad Cristiana Universitaria de Honduras (University Christian Community of Honduras), the Honduran chapter of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.  Guillermo´s passions are integral mission, soccer, working with youth and working with community leaders to see lives and communities transformed.

Anna is originally from Allenspark, Colorado.  She studied Spanish and Elementary Ed at CU Boulder, and also spent a year studying the Bible at a Torchbearer school in San Jose, Costa Rica.  In 2006 she moved to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to work full time for Servant Partners.  She focused on leadership and organizational development, discipleship and a few other concrete projects.  Anna's enjoys being outside, photography, cooking and spending time with her family.
